Ready to visit the folklore festival in Tuscany?

Here you will find answers to your frequently asked questions and further details about the folklore festival in Montecatini Terme, Tuscany.

There are many things to see in Tuscany — the hard part is choosing where to start. You may be drawn by the extraordinary art and architecture of Florence, or by the magnificent landscapes. Whether you love nature or art, you have to see both sides of this Italian province.

A folklore festival in Tuscany?

For our International Folklore Festival in Tuscany we chose Montecatini Terme, the largest spa town in Italy. It is a town with many thermal baths you should not miss. After relaxing in the thermal waters or the mud baths, you can walk along the main street, as it is not far from your hotel. In fact, you can walk everywhere. Your hotel will be located right in Montecatini Terme. The beautiful parade of participants and the festival itself will be watched by hundreds of visitors. There are many shops and restaurants on the main street where you can enjoy excellent Tuscan cuisine. Do not miss the delicious wine and the outstanding Tuscan steak.

Montecatini Terme is an area coaches cannot enter. There are special car parks and unavoidable ZTL charges. You can find out more about the rates on this link.

Coach parking, with the ZTL charge included, costs around 36 EUR per day.

The most frequent question is “How do we visit Florence?”

If you decide to go by your own coach and want to enter the city centre, you would have to pay a very high charge (around 700 EUR). There is a way to avoid it. You can reach the point called Villa Costanza, where coaches pay no ZTL charge, park the coach there and then take the T1 Leonardo tram to Santa Maria Novella in Florence in 20 minutes.

You can also take the train from Montecatini Terme station, which is within walking distance of every hotel. By train you reach Santa Maria Novella (Florence central station) in 53 minutes.

Groups arriving at the Montecatini Terme folklore festival by plane can choose between the airports of Florence, Pisa and Bologna.

You can contact our team to book airport–hotel–airport transfers.

The legendary Leaning Tower of Pisa is certainly one of the things you will want to see. We also recommend visiting some lesser-known but spectacular places, such as Siena, Lucca, San Gimignano, Terme di Saturnia and Bagni San Filippo, to experience the true spirit of Tuscany.

If you want to go to the seaside, the Cinque Terre — fishing villages on the Tyrrhenian Sea, reachable only by rail or water — will take your breath away. The nearest beach is Viareggio.
