XII Folklore Festival in Sorrento – Amalfi Coast, Italy 2027

The Folklore Festival in Sorrento has been one of the most beloved festivals among our participants since 2013. Set in one of the most enchanting destinations on the Italian coast, this unique festival offers an unforgettable experience surrounded by the treasures of the Amalfi Coast, including the breathtaking villages of Positano and Amalfi, as well as the legendary island of Capri.

Organized by Blue Diamond Events in cooperation with Sorrento Folk, an authentic local ensemble representing the traditional art of Tarantella, the festival brings together 16 folklore groups from different countries every year! The program includes boat excursions to Capri and along the spectacular Amalfi Coast, which cannot be reached by tourist buses. The excursions include free time for swimming, shopping and sightseeing. In addition, you should not miss visiting the ancient Roman city of Pompeii, Naples and Vesuvius.

REGULATIONS

Folklore dancing groups, chorus, majorettes, musical bands are invited to participate in this folklore festival which will be held in Sorrento, Italy.

Every group will perform once and it should prepare a 8 minutes program.

Performances with live and music recorded are both allowed.

The age and the number of dancers in the group are not limited. Adult, young and children ensembles are welcome. Soloists are not accepted. The minimum number of people in the group for accommodation is 20 (including dancers, relatives,  accompanists and drivers).

Family members and friends may join folklore festival in Sorrento and visit one of the most beautiful areas of Italy for the same price.

The accommodation of the groups is provided in 3*/4* hotels likeany other hotel of the same category,  in triple and quadruple rooms and it includes 5 nights with half-board (breakfast and dinner).

Accommodation for 1 person is free of charge if you have more than 25 persons in the group. Accommodation for 2 persons is free of charge if you have more than 42 persons in the group.

The hotel will be assigned to every group based on the requested rooming of all groups. The final program with the logistics, timing and all the details about the hotel in which you will be accommodated will be sent to you 3 weeks before the arrival.

PAYMENT

As confirmation of its participation in this folklore festival, a group pays 2000€ in advance and the rest not later than 15 days before the festival by bank transfer.

This deposit is non-reimbursable if you later decide not to come, for any reason. In case of unexpected circumstances or Force Majeure, the organizer reserves the right to change the date of the event or to postpone it for the next year.

PRELIMINARY PROGRAM OF THE FESTIVAL

JUNE 24^th
The groups should arrive to the hotel between 14:00 and 19:00 where they will be welcomed and referred to the program.

JUNE 25^th
We recommend a full-day private boat excursion along the Amalfi Coast, organized by our team for all participating groups together. The trip includes stops and free time in Amalfi and Positano, with opportunities for swimming, shopping, and tasting delicious local specialties, including the region’s famous lemons.

JUNE 26^th
We suggest visiting Pompeii  in the morning, followed by the folklore festival which will be held in the evening in Sorrento. 

JUNE 27^th
We suggest a full-day private excursion to Capri Island, organized by our team for all participating groups together. The excursion includes free time for swimming, shopping, lunch, and sightseeing, with breathtaking views and the opportunity to taste delicious local specialties.

JUNE 28^th
We suggest visiting the capital of the region, charming Naples and in famous vulcan Vesuvius.

JUNE 29^th
You should leave the hotel after the breakfast.

Notification

The exact time of the beginning and the ending of the folklore festival will be announced later. Program on the day of the festival must be respected. Groups are required to adjust their bus transport according to the program and are supposed to be present at the awarding ceremony!
